ROFL, you guys are cracking me up and yes Apache I remember the same thing.
When I did my demonstrative speech in public speaking guess what I picked. I demonstrated how to safely clean a 30-30 Marlin 336C and everyone loved it, w00t
Also when I was in high school most of us guys had our hunting rifles in the vehicle and the guys lucky enough to own trucks had theirs in the gun rack

I still have my Marlin 336C. It was the first hunting rifle that I bought with my own money.
Almost every truck had a gun rack with a rifle and shotgun racked. And after the movie Walking Tall came out, most of them had a large stick too.

              LOL
              He needs to seek counseling?
              WTF?
I would take offense to that if I were this kids parent. To me, it seems he made some bad-ass device that I never could have come up with at that or probably any age, and people over-reacted, instead of asking the(the highest grade he could be in is 8th, so 13-15) CHILD what he had, the frekin idiot principle calls the cops.

Reminds me of all the stories I have heard about peoples neighbors calling the cops on them for trying to get into their own homes after forgetting a key or whatever.

You cant go out and ask the person whats up?
Especially in the principles case, where he had the power to jack up that kid and search him.
              Overly scared freaks.

Yeah, it seems that's the answer now a days for anything.

I actually had a prissy little B of a teacher tell me and LadyDi one day in a parent teacher conf. that our daughter did this and that just wasn't normal. So I proceeded to tell her that it was obvious she had never been a teacher in the south and she better consider her self lucky she was not MY teacher
