Wasn't there a frakin' science teacher at the school who had enough sense to say, "No, its not a bomb, you don't need to freak out over it"?

I hope the kid invents some new motion technology later in life and makes millions.

            People are stupid.

It's a fine example of the wussification of this country.

It's so sad when you live in a country that wants you to believe that there is somebody around every corner trying to kill you.

Thankfully we haven't got to that point...... yet.

Everyone who has responded does not live in California.
Others who live here can back me up on this when I say that we love to create policy, process, and procedure.

We also love to use the phrase "so that we can prevent that from ever happening again, no matter what the cost."

When you combine our growing socialist footprint, you receive the a fore mentioned incident.

I have found that the administrators of schools tend to be the most sensitive to anything like this and it has to do with the fact that parents are always in there making a fuss about one thing or another so they can get little edgy from having to battle both sides of arguments. I bet this particular individual has a few issues on top of the pressures of his job. Perhaps he should return to his job at McDonald's.

I can remember when it was nothing, to take a teacher out to your vehicle, and show off your new hunting rifle. Yes they had guns when I was in school.

It takes so long to load a musket, though... not very good for assaults .
