There is nothing better, for sleep, than rain on a tin roof. Too bad you do not find many tin roofs anymore.

This link is just in case Apache has trouble sleeping.

CD - "Rain on a Tin Roof
features the sound of rain falling on a roof ? a wonderfully nostalgic, comforting rain on roof sound to help you relax and sleep. Let the sound of Rain on a Tin Roof take you back to a favorite time and place when your cares were few, and you snuggled into your bed for an oh-so-cozy night?s sleep while it was raining outside!"

Hey I too have a drive that slopes to the house. Luckily not a steep angle and the drains seem fine.

As for the sound of rain.. My wife is on thyroid medicine. One side effect is trouble sleeping. Using my Logictech squeezebox network music player I setup a 10 minute loop of rain falling. Now she can't sleep without it. The problem is my server that controls the box crashed. At least I don't have to worry bout the sound of rain...

My god the thunder last night was soooo awesome. Was only a block or so away from my house at 11:30 pm PST last night. I mean a RAWR like no other and being so close that we lost power for a few seconds to the house. Was so cool. My cats were sleeping and then they suddenly woke up and hid for like 10 minutes. Was so funny trying to get them to come out. Man I hope I get another like that today. Plus, we had hail late last night and some more this morning.

Mount Diablo is visible from my office and it looks like Mt Shasta right now.
            Pretty thick today...

The lightning storms and thunder were intense and all the drains are full.
            Just wow.

Any word on how Napa County is fairing?

We went all last year with hardly a drop of rain and for the last 5 days ...nothing but rain. And it's cold too. Snow is finally covering the mountains. If I were back in Louisiana, this would be perfect weather for goose hunting and gumbo!

No kidding! You guys were very dry last year.
I went out for the paper a few minutes ago and anywhere there is a flat spot there is a puddle.

My kids keep asking me when they can go outside and play.

Friend of mine has to get new carpet. He lives at the bottom of a hill on a coldasac. Sucks for him.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
