Oh if a man tried to take his time on Earth and prove before he died what one man's life could be worth, well I wonder what would happen to this world ? - Harry Chapin
Some of the old weather reports for the UK used to be like this. Now it just seems impossible. Here's a little excerpt from 1947.
Serious snowfall events happen rarely, but when they come, the UK normally isn't prepared!

1947
One such winter was 1947. From January 22nd to March 17th, snow fell every day, somewhere in the UK! The snow accumulated quickly, causing real problems. The temperatures rarely rose more than a degree or 2 above 0! Several of these snowfalls where of 60cm (23") or more, and depths of level snow amazingly reached 1.5m (59") in Upper Teesdale and the Denbighshire Hills. Across the UK drifts of more than 5 metres (196") in depth blocked roads, and affected traffic. The armed services were brought in, to drop supplies to people in danger, trapped in their homes due to blocked roads and railways.
Wow. In that first picture... amazing the roof of that house didn't cave in from the weight. or maybe it did.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. There is not way the roofs in the Colorado Springs area could stand up to the much snow.

Thats kinda like the blizzard of 1977 here in Western NY I guess. My grandpa tells me stories of snow being piled up near the top of telephone poles on the roads.
I remember when all the Elkhorn (which has been annexed by Omaha) buses were frozen over. Kids got the day off of school. This year all the schools have run out of snow days so all the youngins will have to be in school later.
I've been Alpha and will be Beta testing the Delta Force game. It's been really getting good reviews! Definitely a good Battlefield feel to it like the...
