I go back further than the NES. Try the Atari.

Apache, there's at least one Atari game on that list. Saw it on CNN earlier.

I've still got a working Intellivision II with the voice box expansion and a bunch of games.

Around the end of 1980, beginning of 81, a good friend and I bought the Intellivision, that thing was just amazing. Controllers were a little different then yours but pretty much the same console. The games they put out were something else at the time. NFL Football was a blast. You could program how you wanted the receiver to run a pattern. Lots of plays to pick from and four hour games were good fun. I can't remember the name of this other game. It was something like Sub Hunt. You had subs (I'm a master of the obvious), destroyers, mine sweepers/layer, cruisers(?) and whatnot. Idea was to get your sub to his pen and claim it. Loved that game, played the code out of it. Anyway, We had maybe a dozen games toward the end of it's life. Good times.

We Bought the one just below the "History" heading in this History Of The Intellivision.

Gives me a chuckle to see these...

I have to admit it, Apache, same here. I had a friend who had gotten the Atari Pong for a birthday / X-Mas or something like that (I think his folks had to miss a Mortgage payment for it ). I couldn't put a date on it till I read the link BlackArrow posted... 1975!

Though born a little after their release I had the Atari 2600 and 5200. I still have my NES and all my games for it. Unfortunately, I don't have any of the rare ones.

BA, that's a pretty cool site. Handful of systems I never knew about even in the past 20 years.

The stepfather of one of my good female friends through middle and high school actually owned both the 3DO and the Neo Geo. I thought he was insane in the membrane--the games cost more than other systems available at the time. Though they were awesome games for their time.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
