    Texas: the bipolar state

Here in Texas, and especially Dallas, a lot of people use the phrase "if you don't like the weather now, just wait a few hours and it will probably change". Well there isn't a better example of this then what happened the past few days.

Friday (2 days ago, the high was about 75F): I wore shorts and a t-shirt and contemplated going swimming.

Saturday (yesterday, the high was 35F): All day it is very, very cold and windy. It starts snowing about 7PM and snows almost all night dumping 5 inches of snow on us.

So in a 24 hour period we went from swimming to snow with a 40 degree change in temperature. We set an annual record for snowfall this year with about 19 inches!

And of course who doesn't like pictures!?

ROFL, at least your state waits 24 hours. Man I've seen it goes from snow and in the 20s to sunny and in the 60s in a matter of hours.

LOL I'm glad I didn't have to fly through there yesterday and today. When it snows there things stop happening. I hope that's the last of the snow for the season.

The last time I was in Denver, I went to bed with the temperature in the 70's and woke up with 6 inches of snow on the ground.

I called home a little bit ago, they said on Friday it was 65f, sat and Sunday morning it was 30f and they got 11 inches of snow! They said by Sunday afternoon it was 45f and the snow was melting.

This is why I live near the ocean. It acts as a moderator to temperature. I commute over the coastal mountians about 30 miles. No matter the season in land is always worse by 10 degrees

Here in Nebraska it rains in perfect sunshine a lot during the summer.

I think I'd rather live in the Sahara where at very least I know what I can expect.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
