    The Best Cheeseburger!

I went to Hardee's (Carl's Jr for you west coast folks) and got a grilled cheese bacon thickburger. It was sooooooooo good.

So while I'm sitting there eating it I started thinking about the absolute BEST cheeseburger I have ever eaten.

My award for world's best cheeseburger goes to:

The Dew Drop Inn, Mobile, Alabama USA

How about the rest of you?

I agree. I experimented and experimented. I ended up with a pound of meat, a crap load of cheese (inside the meat), some garlic, black pepper, a pinch of salt and... and... toasted buns. Which I didn't make because I have no idea how to make dough.

Also, no one could have spat on mine

Yes, Five Guys make a great burger.

For homemade... try about a teaspoon of mayo mixed in for each patty. Make them moist and delicious. Even if you don't like mayo, try it (wife hates mayo but loves homemade patties this way).

This is THE best burger I have ever had and I make them every now and then. The blue cheeses and the red wine flavor make for an amazing burger.

Serve with some sweet potato fries.

Big Juds is the best burger place around here. For anyone that has seen Man Vs. Food on the travel channel, Big Juds in Boise was on there. They are famous for their 1pd burger. We used to be able to go in and feed the whole family with that burger. Now I have 2 kids that can eat the whole thing by themselves.

Homemade is the best. There's a few local places around here that make a pretty good burger. If you have to go fast good, 5 Guys definitely is heads above the competition.

                            My picks...

Best Overall: made my own, my favorite recipe: mixing blue cheese and minced onion into the meat, seasoning with paprika, brown sugar, ginger, orange peel, and red pepper, topped with a slice of tomato and a blue cheese dressing, served in a toasted potato bread bun.

Best Fast Food Burger: Five Guys. I usually sneak a good handful of peanuts out in my fry bag too.

Best Bar Burger: Bull's Club in Tampa, FL. Dirt cheap, tasty, limited supply, only available on Wed.

Best Full Service: South 40 in Winamac, IN. Great burgers!
