Restaurant/bar called Flume Creek in a little town called Rosholt that I go through on the way up to my land. It's about two hours north of here. Anyway, their bacon cheesburgers are awesome. Flame broiled on a grill/stove right next to the bar. When the lady that runs the place isn't cooking, she's cleaning the stove. Very nice place...and very awesome burgers...real, thick bacon...mmm, I stop there every time I go to the land.

I've experimented a lot with blending in everything from blue cheese, BBQ sauce, eggs, Johnny's seasoning Salt (go figure), garlic (powder and fresh) and bunch of other household cleaning products. I guess it comes down to what I have a taste for that day.

I dig the Carl's Jr western bbq double cheeseburger but my fave would probably be the the Chimacum Cheeseburger from the Chimacum Cafe.

As long as I have a Fat Scotch Ale from the Silver City Brewery on the side I'm good.

There is a small fast food joint back home in Plymouth NC called Little Man that makes the best double cheese burger I've ever had. I pick up two every time we drive back home so I can eat them on the last 13 miles of the trip

I'll have to check that out next time I head out toward the OBX.

"The Depot". It's a local place right next to the CSX track. If you ever find yourself in Lattimore, NC, stop in and grab one. I take the kids riding bikes down there to watch trains and we stop and get a tea and a burger on Saturdays sometimes. I've seen train drivers stop the train just to get a bite!

Very good burgers, but they're not in my area. I can only get them when i travel to Cali every few years.
