      LMAO.

Hey, no word from the supervisor on the vid. I'm guessing he was either too busy to get to it, or the vid wasn't that great, or he had a little "accident".

I don't really want to push it too much on a Friday, and thus become one of those pain in the duff nutjobs...so I guess I'll wait until Monday and call him again. I doubt that it would be any better quality than, say, that police cruiser video of it...though I did have it in view for a longer time. Ahhh, poop.

It was a meteor. It has been all over the news. It may have actually struck the ground somewhere in WI. (meterorite) I have seen some like this one before. In Louisiana I witnessed a bolide (a meteor which explodes before it hits the ground). Very impressive. The one which you saw was estimated to be softball size. It dosn't seem like something so small could make such a big fireball, but it will. The outside is being vaporized and is ionizing all the air around it. It may have started as something as big as a suitcase but it gets burned down pretty quick. Most meteors visible to the naked eye (shooting stars) are no bigger than a grain of sand. Amazing!

Lol, ObiTroy! At least someone can see the truth!

Yeah, DougBob, it could be cool if I could get the vid and if it were decent, but I'm guessing that since I didn't hear anything yesterday that the window of opportunity might have passed. At any rate, it's better to be getting video like that than some of the mob fights that have been going on in other buses lately.

Yeah that is errrr.... was a small chunk of rock and ice I suppose...

It's quite amazing how much friction there is between Earth's atmosphere and a small meteorite.... very bright!

                        LIES AND PROPAGANDA!!!!

I've held back this long. I've never seen a meteor(ite) burn that brightly. It also moved pretty damn slowly. I also think it's convenient that all this occurred during meteor showers...makes a nice excuse.

I think it was a cheese factory's secret new flying machine (it IS Wisconsin after all )

Lol, I bet they're trying to find a way to age cheese more quickly at extreme temperatures and zero gravity!

Also, it was waaaaayyyyyy slower than any "meteor" I've ever seen, as you said. I had time to turn back to the passengers, as I said, and say "check out that thing in the sky"...and it was still there long enough for them to see it (whereas all the meteors I've ever seen, and I've watched plenty of showers [don't say it, Phantom!] the meteors cross the sky in a split second, even the bright ones that burn up). I guess it could have just been poking around in space before entering the atmosphere, though...or maybe came in at the same direction that earth is travelling....

Well Skud, we can share this conspiracy theory will everyone until the government denies it (like Area 51), then we'll know it was aliens and that Men in Black wasn't just a movie, it was a documentary.
