    All By Myself...

A rare thing... this hasn't happened since about 1978. I have the house all to myself!

Long story short... wife is from Concord/Charlotte area, NC... her sister is moving and her mom needed some painting done... so she left this morning with the two boys and two of their friends in the minivan to help with that. My daughter and I went down after her t-ball game late morning... I took the pressure washer and pressure washed grandma's deck and around her house... then I headed home after that - everyone else is staying the night. Stopped by Chilli's and got good meal, then by the package store to get a 5th of Crown.

House is empty except for the cats, a NASCAR night/short track race is on, I'm sipping on some Crown and have a good movie to watch later...

Anyone want to take the two cats off my hands for the night?

Yes! All CLR's are welcome! BYOB!

Funny, a freind of mine called me a while ago in a panic. He purchased his dead neighbor's (from his widow) tractor, with all kinds of attachments... bush hog, front loader/scoop, scraper. All for $2,500.

But he realy doesn't need a tractor but it was too good of a deal to pass up. He was panicing because he hasn't told his wife yet.

So he's on his way over here to indulge a bit, told him he could sack out here. His wife's out of town too and won't be back until Sunday.

I wouldn't want to be him on Sunday and explain the tractor in the yard.

Dang. Kyle Busch won... I was rooting for (quite loudly) Jeff Gordan. And I don't even like Jeff Gordan. Anyone but Jimmie Johnson is good now, though.

My friend just arrived with 12-pack of Amstel Light and a stack of Monty Python DVD's. And some pictures of his new tractor.

            Good night so far!

Good... got up about 7:00, grabbed breakfast at Hardee's. Actually couldn't stay up that late, getting too old. The bit of Crown that I had made me sleep like a baby.

Nope . Had planned on getting up early and riding the bike up on the Blue Ridge Parkway for most of the day but the weather isn't cooperating with me, overcast and storms likely. So now will problaby just take a short trip close to home this afternoon if things clear up.

Sorry. Didn't think there were any nascar fans in the UK or that the race airing is delayed.
