    Buying a house

I never thought this time would come but i am buying a house, so I have been busy the last few months with saving money and raising my credit score, it is rough trying to buy a house especialy when your doing it with your spouse she had her heart set on one house and of course it didn't fall through so we kept looking and then BAM this house that just turned up on the market popped up it's 4 bedrooms 2.5 bathrooms and is 2,600 Sq feet on .52 acres beautiful. we went into contract in April and are going to close in June (that is if a certin loan doesn't get approved) and if it does get approved then we will be moving in sooner. and we will have a 8,000 tax credit also and the wife said I could get my 52" HDTV SWEET

      Congrats!

Since you'll have a 1/2 acre, you may want to abandon the 52" TV and invest in a riding mower.

Forget the mower then: it's beer and chips to partake in while using your new TV!

Looks like a great place, nickleal98! Congrats!

Congrats! I just got my first house last summer and I'm loving it. My front yard is done in desert scape...easy to maintain.

                  Wow! Nice pad Nickleal.

So depressing to see what homes you guys buy for such low prices. That house would probably set you back around ?200,000 ($305,000) here.

The house itself isn't as popular in this area as a rancher style, but the bedroom/bath count and acreage would easily make it $400,000 in the DC suburbs of Maryland. If not more.

Welcome to the club! I spent all weekend poring cement and putting in a retaining wall. Just wait until you have a home improvement project to do every weekend

Thanx everyone I am not at all looking forward to packing up at all just the thought of it blah I say oh well at least i wont waste money on rent anymore, and i found out today that two of my neighbors are former co-workers of mine from about 10 years ago (wow that made me feel old) and there is three cops a Highway patrolman and a sheriff that live there in the community so at least it's a safe place to live also, so i really don't have to worry about my kids or anything.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
