It's World Cup time!! Just wanted to say good luck to all the different nations we have here at the Lair.

England V USA tomorrow should be a great match.

On a downside i really hope these damned vuvuzela horns get banned asap. The noise is ridiculous and it's destroying the atmosphere.

I'm running late because I've been sick and I'm watching South Africa lead Mexico (!), and those buzzers are damn, damn annoying. If that's what you mean with the specific name, I more than agree. Who actually wants to listen to a hornet nest for that long? Ugh.

If they're not banned, at least take solace that everyone in those stadiums is going to hear that noise for weeks.

The annoying part is that the host gets a lot of ticket for every game. Watching France v Uruguay right now and all you can hear is the damned horns.

Even a hearing asociation has condemned them due to the fact that they produce 150db of noise. Which is more than a chainsaw, and can cause hearing damage in less than 15minutes.

Glad i'm not there.

I must say this afternoon's game (France v. Uruguay) was very boring, and I enjoy watching soccer. Neither team really did anything offensively.

Thank God the time zones work out for us though. I remember when it was in Korea/Japan in 2002. The games were being broadcast live at 3:30 in the morning, and it really messed up my sleeping schedule!

I don't understand the fun in constantly blowing those damn things. Why would you go to a soccer game and blow the horn, constantly being out of breath, when you could actually enjoy the game?
