Think of them as the same types that join game servers and play loud music over VOIP.

We got back in the car right after the game ended, but you couldn't tell from the announcers on ESPN. The way they were talking, it seemed that the US had won or was leading and the game was still underway. They asked stuff like "what will be the reaction in the USA and in Britain tonight?"

Well, given that it was a 1-1 draw, over here you've got two main schools of thought:

          1. A 1-1 tie? Uh, ok. So, why is this game so exciting then?

          2. Anything that ends in a tie isn't a sport.

The way they were going off as announcers it sounded like the worst defeat in international British history.

Lmao @ juneau’s dislike for the horns

The commentators and interviewers on Univision (spanish channel that is Covering and broadcasting the WC in the US) are using them throughout their live coverage.

            I personally don’t mind them.

            USA v England

My money was on England even though I wanted Donovan to score.
That was an English win but Green was too confident with that stop. that's going in the books.

that ball is tricky, ain't it?

            Germans beats the aussies tomorrow
and algeria and gahna ftw too

Why Goalies Hate the New World Cup Soccer Ball | LiveScience
Maybe this is why he missed the ball.

Or maybe this is the reason:
Soccer players of all positions have expressed their displeasure with the new ball. "It's very weird," Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano said. "All of a sudden it changes trajectory on you. It's like it doesn't want to be kicked … like someone is guiding it.... It's supernatural." Spooky!

                "...supernatural" really...lol

Ref: article-The World Cup's ball of confusion
...Complaining about the World Cup ball is nothing new, of course. Every four years Adidas introduces a new model and every four years just about everyone complains about it.

This time, however, the criticism seems more universal, centering on the ball's speed and unpredictability — it simply doesn't react like other balls do. And no one seems to know for sure why, though designers at Adidas lay much of the blame on South Africa's thin air.
just from watching the games, I have to agree there's something wrong with that ball.

is that fair to say? idk

Those ties are only for the first 2 rounds. When teams reach the third round it becomes game by game. No tie, you go to over time, penalty kicks. I don't expect you to understand as your play offs are yearly, 7 games each, each series out of 6 or 7. That's called making cash on the NBA/NFL side. We rather a good game than hours and hours of entertainment that goes stale more than it should.

I'm watching every of the game thru Univision too, i could watch it on ESPn but i like spanish broadcaster better and they have a better show after the game with some nice latin women.

i also dont mind the horns.

German descent too, PJ...similar preferences in teams that I'd like to see win.

Also, looks like Switzerland pulled off a big win against Spain! http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2010...d.html?_r=1&hp

OH HUSH !! what a deception!! I watched the match and although I have to say that Switzerland played great in defense, Spain was very UNLUCKY !! We were attacking ALL the time and the ball didn't want to go in And Fernando Torres wasn't that fine today....

Anyway, we need to win YES or YES next time.
