Watch how you hold those Iphones

    http://www.cnn.com/2010/TECH/mobile/...ex.html?hpt=T2

(CNN) -- Hours after its iPhone 4 went on sale to excited crowds Thursday, Apple found itself responding to complaints that holding the phone by its metal edge causes mobile reception to suffer.

The company's response, in a nutshell? You're holding it wrong.

"Just avoid holding it in that way," Apple CEO Steve Jobs wrote in an e-mail that was making the rounds on the Web on Friday morning.
So the sleek new design looks great, but functions so-so.

I just find this utterly hilarious on so many levels. I wonder how the Apple fanboys feel about this, and if it will slow that absurd i-whatever fad.

LOL. I just heard about this on the radio. Design over function... Great.

It possibly was, it should have been seen as the antenna is located there.
Thou its obvious the results, blocking those tiny powered signals is easy.

and can i just say, any radio (even cellphones) is only as good as the antenna attached to it.

All most all phones are moving to have the antenna located at the bottom of the phone. This is because of the concerns with radiation close to a person's head.

Maybe it'll help if they make them smaller and thinner next time.

I'm with you on finding it hilarious. And no, no it won't slow it down.

I guess the IPhone V5 will be just around the corner to fix this issue? And all the idiots will rush out to buy it.

ROFL, I was reading about this day before yesterday. This is hilarious.

Oh but didn't you hear Steve says it's not a phone problem it's just a phone user education problem and they can easily fix it by buying a case for the iPhone 4.
