New item from yesterday/this morning (news/blogs)--Consumer Reports has issued an evaluation that states they do not recommend the iPhone 4 for consumers. They isolated 3 of them from different stores in a radio testing chamber and duplicated the reception issue under controlled conditions.

Find your local news tech blog about it and read the comments. Funny stuff, watching the Apple fanboys try to defend their product and their boy Stevie.

        LMAO (from consumer reports):

We did, however, find an affordable solution for suffering iPhone 4 users: Cover the antenna gap with a piece of duct tape or another thick, non-conductive material. It may not be pretty, but it works. We also expect that using a case would remedy the problem. We'll test a few cases this week and report back.
I hope duct tape is cool enough for the Apple crowd!

LOL what a cheap #$&^%$d. Jobs should be giving free covers out to all the people who bought one of those lame phones.

Agreed. I'm known to defend Apple products, using two right now, but if ANYONE messes up something like that, they deserve to lose some money in correcting it.

I can't wait for a report from that press conference. Will they answer the hard questions with a real answer? I doubt it.

We can only hope that a video of Jobs throwing a hissy fit surfaces.

As long as you have a case there isn't any problem. I thought it was hilarious how Consumer Reports showed placing electrical tape over the end and then stated "or you could use a case".

I find it more hilarious, mixed with disgust, that you almost need a case to eliminate the problem. Nobody wants to put duct tape on their new iPhone, but Apple's solution is either a) hold it differently, or b) buy one of our shiny cases. Only overpriced by 25%...
