Heat Wave! How Hot Is It Where You Are?

101.7 degrees F in beautiful Walnut Cove, NC.

Central air has been humming away all day and hasn't shut down once... and the best a heat pump can do is keep it roughly 20 degrees cooler inside the outside so my indoor temp has been almost 80 degrees F this afternoon.

Good news is only 19% humidity so it isn't as bad as it could be.

It's 4 and we are @ 75. I don't think we are ever going to get a summer here in Idaho.

Wow! Sounds like my kind of place! You also go snow over memorial day weekend, didn't you?

I live in Missouri(missery), so 100% humidity all summer and temps from 80 - 100+. its only 88 today thankfully. we've had rain all week to knock down the temps.

I hear ya! Humid too. I went to boot camp in Texas during May/June (1988 ) ... we would leave the barracks to mail some letters and by the time we got to the mailbox the humitidy had already pealed the stamp off of the envelopes as if you had steamed it off to save it.

I also remember doing pushups on asphalt one afternoon and getting blisters on my hands from it. I wasn't my decision to do the pushups, it was MSgt. Colbert's idea.
