Wow, that sucks. I had mine done back in the early 90's. Time, it just takes time
What kind of meds did the surgeon give you? Anti-inflamatory and pain killers I hope.[SIZE=1][B]"Now more than ever the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. No straws, keep up the pain meds. You can take multiple NSAID's at a time (non steroid anti inflammatory drugs). So depending on what you're on you can take ibprofin, asprin ,naproxin sodium (alleve) at the same time.
Also, icepack the hell out of yourself. I didnt have a hard time personally but it varies.Delivering bacon goodness one round at a time.

your worried over wisdom teeth.... o brother, be glad that's all....
I had 3 wisdom teeth pulled the same day i have surgery on the underside of my tounge...
I never felt any pain from my wisdom teeth once...
I was too busy with the pain from my tounge, uncontrolled drooling of blood\spit, setting my alarm for every hour to make sure my tounge was ok and not all jacked up while i slept all night, and bleeding through the stiches as well as not able to eat any solids for a long time. I had to drink soup by holding my tounge with one finger against the base of my mouth and using a cup to drop it to the back of my throat to bypass all the aftermath of the mouth operations.
Sorry... i just "love" when people talk about wisdom teeth pain... When I was about to get all my dentail work done... the dude told me "Don't excpect to even notice the teeth, your tounge will prove far more painful"
I'm always reminded of the crappy month I had after that surgery\pulling of teeth (i had my wisdoms cut out) when someone mentions their wisdoms.
maybe my suffering will make you feel better about yours

Uh, Idk I never had pain, I even had to break my jaw bone to get one out o_o. What bothered me the most was the blood, which kept making me feel sick. I'll give you some good teas to help with that, tooth pain and also anti-inflamatory ones.
Most of these wiull work with that, I'll give you the name of the plant and the proportions, but all of them should be used 3x per day to wash your mouth, for about 3 to 4 minutes.
If they're dried, you can leave them in the cup, put the almost boiling water, cover it and wait a bit until it's ready, if it's fresh, you put the herb after the water and wait less, just stir it with your spoon.
chamomile, Matricaria chamomilla, 2spoon-1cup
pomegranade tree(you can use the fruit as well, but the brenches are the best), Punica granatum, 1spoon-1cup
I have some better ones, but they're made from trees and plants from brazil, so i don't think you'll find those there, besides, those 2 are pretty common everywhere, you shouldn't have a problem finding them.[CENTER]

I had a steroid in my IV during the procedure which really helped keep the swelling down. I had very little pain; I only had to take a painkiller the first night!
Other than that, the ice packs are definitely your friend. Instead of taking a painkiller I would just throw on the ice packs and it would sooth the pain away. Definitely avoid the straws and the acidic drinks (orange juice, soda) but make sure to stay hydrated and eat!
