Only the early ones, though. I was at my brothers last Saturday and we turned on the current SNL for about ten minutes: pathetic. 9 out of 10 high school skits would blow it away...

I've got Seasons 1-4, and 5 will be coming when I get around to it. I will then skip the entirety of the early to mid 80s. I may pick up again with the Harvey/Myers/Hartman core group, and would bail shortly after the best years of Sandler.

Anything without Eddie Murphy in it between the original cast leaving in 1980 and Phil Hartman showing up is terrible. Anything after the best years around the time of Adam Sandler (and anything with Chris Farley in it), with the rare exception such as Celebrity Jeopardy and the Weekend Update desk with Fallon and Fey, is terrible.

Out of a 30-year run, there are about 9-10 seasons that are solid throughout, and probably enough really good skits in the rest to fill just 2 DVDs.

It seems that it costs about $20.00 to $27.00 per season. Is this about the right cost? I was thinking that if I had the DVD I could watch it when I get behind a lousy connection.
