I will have to check that one. I do know that it was made before the started stamping the parts. the guy my father bought it from wanted to buy it back a few years later because of this. I will have to look at it the next time I get up to my parents house.

Yea, I was talking about the 30/30.
When I bought mine it was also available chambered for the .35 Remington. Now I think it is available in other calibers too.

Lol, you are not alone... I went from a troublesome kid in Scouts to an Eagle Scout!

I used to do that @ Camp Goshen in Virginia. That's where they filled Lake Placid if you remember that movie

I believe the boyscout merit badge can be acquired by using air rifles nowadays. Occasionally my private range lets a troop on so they can get they're badges.

funny thing actually the first firearm I shot was a .22. I used to go to this YMCA summer camp and they had a .22 range. I doubt they still do such a shame actually. They had a retire Marine DS run the range. Crap just looked online they no longer have the .22 range... sigh

I took my wife to the range to introduce her to the S&W .40 we have in the house and I think it was too much for her. I borrowed her brothers 9 mm and am going to see if I can get her to shoot that easier.

                  Kentucky Long Rifle

Wish I could own one of these. It is a Ferguson Rifle. This was the first breech loading rifle to be used in combat.

I sure would love to own a decent priced M1 Garand, but it seems we are having a problem getting a million of them in from Korea.

For handguns I have been teaching myself with a Sig 229 I bought about 2 years ago and for rifles I bought an AR 6 months ago to have fun with. Nothing like some of you have but I guess it gets the job done.

First gun was a Daisy BB gun. First rifle was a 22 semi auto that loaded from the stock. Then a ruger 22 and Topper single shot 20 gauge. Ahhhh the memories.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
