I don't keep up with this stuff, but word on the street @ work is Jupiter hasn't been this close to Earth since 1963.

Guy said you can see Jupiter and its moons even with a strong pair of binoculars !

that i did. and i can't see any pics @ work just red X's...

have to remember to check @ home.

I never check the picture forum cuz of the above reason

Actually you can always see Jupiter and it's moons in binoculars. If you have good eyesight, clear and dark skies, you can just make out the moons with nothing.
