Well after a two year hiatus away from gaming, I get back in to it, now my connection is nerffed.



And that's a good day lol. All this time I was blaming my system for my issues in Black Ops it was my connection.

Replaced cables and connections in the house, new line to the street, new modem and still suckage. They cant figure it out, fun fun.

Cablevision, Normally it's 14-15 megs down. There's something going on with the wiring under ground in the street. This is the first time in 9 years i had an issue with them. Still frustrating though. Just funny though, here it is I thought it was the game, do almost a thousand dollars worth of upgrades to me PC just to find out it was my connection the whole time lol.

Oh man that sucks. I hope they figure it out. It really sounds like something has crushed/pinched their cable bundle. If it's fiber I can definitely see how it would drop this low.

And partly it's the game. I also when out and bought a new GTX460, made absolutely NO difference, except would stutter and lag at higher rez.

The 1st patch made it so much better, then they nerfed the whole thing with the 2nd patch.

I did the same thing. I had an 8800gts and went to a GTX 460 and it made absolutely no visible difference in game. How ever now that I put a quad core behind it, it made a definate visible difference, even without them in SLI.

I replaced a 8800GTS also! I gave it to a friend at work.

What processer did you have before the quad? I'm thinking of replacing my dual core E6600 (OC'ed to 3.1GHZ) with a quad Q9550.

I had a E6750 2.66 stock oc'd to 3.6 ghz. The problem I ran into was if I wanted to upgrade to a quad I would have had to stick with the socket 775, in which the quad proc would have cost me around 300 bucks. Because I wanted to go with at least a 3 ghz quad. My DFI mother board while great at overclocking dual cores didn't have the muscle for a quad.

So I had to do a mother board and proc upgrade instead. I went with the i5-750, which is a quad at 2.66ghz but easily over clocks to 4.0 ghz. Night and day difference over the core 2 duo.
