So, where's the Loot thread? Maybe this one converts...
My wife did get me a Kindle 3, which is awesome.
Supplemental Kindle Goods:
-6 Kindle games, 18 classics, most free or less than 1 buck except for the $4 I had to spend on everything H.P. Lovecraft wrote (never read him before), 2 free newer books (promotions by the publishers), some .99 fiction, a free Thesaurus, etc.
-A lighted cover since I feel I'm going to snap this thing accidently. I think I spent about $12 bucks on Kindle stuff, and $52 for the cover--almost new from Amazon Warehouse saved 8 dollars. Still too expensive.
Straight Cash, Homey
-$75.00 in direct Amazon gift cards
-$30.00 in Best Buy
-A boatload of cash ($250) and a check for $50
These went towards my purchases, with the remaining amounts going in my checking account when I get to a bank. Probably all of that goes to this idiotic $80.00 fee I have to pay for a permit to replace my back yard fence.
Gifts from others or me:
-A networked, stand-alone Blu-Ray player to complement my PS3
-Inception, Toy Story 3, and Scott Pilgrim blu-rays
-A second PS3 controller
-Six CDs, all from this year and on the "best of" lists--Kanye, Arcade Fire, Brothers, Florence and the Machine, LCD Soundsystem, Sleigh Bells
-DVDs--Miller's Crossing, Barton Fink, Brotherhood of the Wolf, Boondock Saints, Batman: Under the Red Hood
-Wii: Rayman's Raving Rabbits (for $3.50 from Borders, rock on!), Resident Evil 4, Epic Mickey
-Books: Bloom County Complete Colleciton Volume 3, Star Wars Crimson Empire 1, Penny Arcade Vol. 3, an awesome pocket handyman book full of facts, Saving Savannah, the Late Night/Conan/Leno book
-PC Games: Mass Effect 2, Age of Wonders 2
-An awesome Lowly Worm stuffed/bendable figure. Any fans of Richard Scarry would know this rocks.
-CANDY!
Lamesauce, but necessary
-A storage bin
-Hangers
-Something like 12-14 nearly new/new pairs of pants from my Dad, who lost some weight lately
-Underwear, white socks, 4 pairs dress socks
-2 dress shirts, one including tie
So, what did you all get?
