Wow my thousandth post, finally lol.
Well let me take the time to go back all the way to my beginning here. When the Cainslair's forums used to be on EZ board, maybe 2004 is when I joined. My first game here was UT2004 Onslaught. I looked for the most populated low ping sever I could find and Cain's was it. I'll never forget my first map was Prime Evil, what a great spam fest map.
I never even played the game before lol just installed the game and went right into online play, I had no clue what I was doing. I just hopped in the Bender and drove right through the middle. I managed a couple of ?Road Rages? but was vaporized quickly. I manged to do that about three or four times before someone called out over voip, ?Hey Devilguns, why don't you try parking the Bender behind the tree and use the alt fire to keep the center of the map clear? It was Pom. I guess I was an obvious noob, but over the next few rounds She and others guided me on how to do things. Then then next two years and about 1000 hours of my life were burnt up by that game lol. The game was great don't get me wrong, but it was the people that made coming to Cain's so much fun.
The forum was just as great as the games too. Everyone here is probably the most helpful group of people I ever had the pleasure of knowing.
Funny how so many people have come and gone over the years. So many names I remember, probably forgot just as many too. Thanks to all of you have help me out with tech stuff, or made me laugh. And thanks to Cain for supplying this fun house. Well enough of this, I have another 5 years to hit post 2000 lol.
I'm curious though, what was everyone's first game here?
