    Non computer games

Do any of you play them? If so what are they? A while back I got my wife hooked on Carcassonne. Which is a totally fun German tile game.

A favorite of my wife and mine, probably the best party game we ever played:

We like Pictionary too. Then while I'm not into it her and her friends can play UNO for hours upon hours straight, like four to six hours lol.

Chess would be the big one, and baseball/softball.

I always sort of want to play a pen and paper RPG like D&D, but 4th edition blows and I'm not the biggest fan of 3rd. And a lot of players are uber-dorks.

I've always dug the mythologies and used a lot of the material for inspiration for building zones in muds.

Chess is great. I don't know many folks who play it here...except my daughter. I got her a nice mahagony set for when she comes to visit.

We used to play a double board version of Axis & Allies. We would have two boards, one for Axis and one for the Allies, and we'd have a moderator that would go back and forth. This way you couldn't see moves behind enemy lines unless you would successfully use a spy plane. It was good stuff.

My friend bought this card game called Gloom, it's quite entertaining!!

Basicially each player has a family of 5, and your goal is to have the worst stuff happen to your characters in the family and then send them to the grave

Once a players entire family is in the graveyard, the game ends.

Then you total up all the negative points on chars in your graveyard and lowest score wins lol!

Also, there are many positive affect cards you play on your opponent to negate their negative scores!! it gets pretty fun, especially if you read the events out loud and make stories\reasons for the events happening.
