    Shot counter for RL weapons.

This is pretty cool, I hope this guys makes a bucket load of money of his invention. I also wonder if this means that we can get an ammo counter in HC mode.

I have always kept a mental count as I fire. Although it is easiest with my Double Barrel Shotgun.

I agree with Apache. You should be able to count. Just like cars and motorcycles you shouldn't have to watch the tach to know when to shift.

Well, with Cali's mag cap limit it's probably easier to count remaining rounds. A semi or full auto with 30 rounds...one could lose track, depending on the circumstances. I'm not sure if the pros of knowing how many are left outweigh the cons of having yet another accessory/bulk on the weapon...but for the right situation it may.

If you start out making a conscious effort to count each shot, it becomes automatic after a while and you do not even realize you are doing it.

But with full auto, which is mostly what this is designed for, counting, even consciously, could be near impossible. How are you going to accurately count something that fires 700-900 rnds a minute? You see in the vid these guys thinking it only fired 4 when it was actually 5 in a short burst...one round can make a difference.

But I don't own fully automatic guns.
And most people using fully auto guns, in a fire fight, would not be paying attention to bullet count. They fire until empty and then reload.

They fire until the target is neutralized, then move to the next. Unless you have unlimited mags, you might have to economize (ie., not spray and pray), and this device could help you do that.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
