    New Toy...

...very excited. Picked this up at Best Buy today (3G version). I really wanted the leather case with the little LED light but it was another $60... but I do have a birthday next month so that is on the top of my wish list now. I've enjoyed the Kindle app for Blackberry for several months now. I know I'll get a lot of enjoyment out of this guy.

Kindle rocks. I have the wi-fi; don't expect to have an urge to buy and dl a book in Starbucks or wherever.

Rand, I mulled over which one to get... I was going to get the wi-fi and the leather case/light... after much mulling I went with the 3G and decided to put the case on birthday wish list.

Nice! I bought my wife one for Xmass a few years back and I'm still collectin the brownie points. She reads at least one book a week and not having a stack of them sitting around is a huge bonus.

                  Enjoy your new toy Obi.

I ended up getting the case a lot sooner than I thought I would (and I have the one you want Obi). I felt like I was either going to simply snap the Kindle accidently because of how amazingly small it really is, or would spill something liquid on it.

Here's a tip--look at Amazon's warehouse section. I scored me an open box case that is absolutely pristine for at least $7 less than full price, which isn't bad considering how expensive the things are.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
