Its that time of the season, my fellow Dads !!!!

I just spent 2.5 hours assembling a HUGE wooden dollhouse, and my fingers have been reduced to bloody stumps .... if you haven't experienced the joys and pain of assembling some contraption using directions that are filled with misspelled words and archaic language, and if you have the means, I highly recommend you try it !!


I pity the fools with young kids who haven't learned to assemble the toys before the 'Big Day', as there is no pressure in the world as great as the expectations of young kids watching your every move, and then grabbing a random part or a handful of screws and running off squealing in delight, then tossing the handful of stuff up in the air once they are apprehended.


So, in conclusion ... no gaming for me, until my fingers heal, and hopefully that will be soon !! Pardon me while I go back to assembling .. ohhh, whats next on the list ?? .. a SCOOTER !! Yesssss, a scooter ...


My kids had better be doing cartwheels and backflips once they get this stuff.

OK .. kids are home .. the Princes Castle is officially trashed.
Our daughter took all of the Disney princess included in it and played tea party on the floor, and her 18 m.o. brother kept trying to yank the dolls through the window, or eat the small items.
It reminded me of that scene in the original King Kong, when Kong was peering through the window at Fay Wray and grabbed her and off he went !!!

AHHHH< Kong has the girl !!! GET HIM !!!

Dude... I feel your pain. That's almost the same doll house my daughter got last year for Christmas except hers also had an elevator in it. PITA to put together. And it was from Santa so had to do assemble on Christmas Eve (very late) after she FINALLY went to sleep.

Only one thing to assemble this year (a Princess scooter) - it is already asembled and in the attic. All Santa has to do this year is get it out of the attic and put it in the living room. ... along with the Princess tent (some minor assembly required) and sleeping bag.
