In the weekend that she released the video she put the song up on iTunes. For every 1 dollar download the artist gets 70 cents. Her song was downloaded 2 million times within that weekend and I'm sure it has climbed from there. No matter what anyone says, this multi million dollar teenager has the last laugh. I personally didn't pay attention to this because I completely lost faith in this generation. Good for her, I guess.
