Have you seen this accident yet?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOhgMAOrp0c

Peeps, this happened to my wife's sister this past Friday in our little podunk town. It's freaking incredible and I was only 45 seconds behind her on the road and I passed her and didn't even realize she hadn't even gotten out of the vehicle yet. I thought it was her van but wasn't sure until she told me later.

Inside Edition interviewed her at her office last night and NBC person was there to make sure they got on their flight to New York and not get interviewed by anyone else so they could be on the Today Show this morning!

It's been crazy. She only had 640 hits on youtube Saturday. Now it's over 1.3 million!

I'm curious if anyone has seen it yet before I posted.

I saw it the other day on the news. She is lucky to be alive.

I saw it. Scared the holy crap out of me. My question is though, why was she driving with her camera going?

Maybe it's just a standard government issue car camera...I think everyone has one running in their car since the Patriot Act was passed.

Anyway, I'm glad that she wasn't injured. The vid shows the potential randomness of road hazzards...could be a useful teaching tool for driving courses (not saying that she could have done anything about it...but certain things like the front vehicle weaving or approaching the shoulder can be warning signs to back off or change lanes...).

In my old Jeep Grand Cherokee, one of those big box truck ran over a pallet and one of those planks landed parallel to driver side windshield. In my Ford Excursion, one of those cement truck decided to throw its rear driverside brake light at me and damaged my hood and windshield. I'm a road warrior

Obviously that's an iphone camera. She would have avoided all that if she learned to drive over 20 miles an hour without filming her life. That large wood hitting her across the head would have been painful.

It was a iphone and she was driving about 50, the pace of traffic. The trucks were driving aggressively and she was filming them, not her life. There is no way she could have avoided it even if she wasn't videoing it.

The trucks don't look aggressive in the video.

She would have been ticketed for this in Maryland. We have a law now that you can't be using phones and hand-helds while driving.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
