    Shooting onboard HMS Astute

Details seem to be really sketchy at the moment which is possibly quite worrying. All we know so far is that one officer has been shot dead and another injured.

This is not a good thing to have happen on one of your nuclear subs.

Not good at all. I hope it was just a random incident that will be resolved quickly.

There are reports a 9mm pistol was used. Sky News understands the arrested man was an active serviceman.
Looks like somebody spent a little too long at sea.

Gotta be tough being underwater for weeks at a time, closed up in a metal tube. Probably wouldn't bother me that much, but I know people it would.

Thankfully it seems that most people on submarines know what they're getting in to and know that they can take that kind of stress and environment.

Not to take away from this incident, but the lede to the article starts thus:

          "A MAN has been died...."

WTF? Didn't you guys invent the language over there?

I hadn't noticed that. Tbh i have no idea what the Pourtsmouth is lol. Could be a local newspaper or a web based news agency.

However, they were the first to report on it so that's where i linked to.

"Police said next of kin have not been notified, but officers are in the process informing the families."

Missing more grammar, and sentence structures in several places are disjointed.

Still, I feel for the grievers. I didn't think loaded weapons were normally allowed inside a sub.

The shooter was on guard duty. Guards are issued rifles.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
