The next step would be to incorporate a range finder in the unit. Then if it had ballistic data preprogramed for the round it would automatically adjust for elevation. Curious. Interesting idea although the lab is a far different place then the real world. The unit would have to be light, small and have an easy way of recharging batteries or small spares. Otherwise someone skilled and using and old Mosin Nagant will eat they're lunch.
