Hahaaa, Osama was playing on his Playstation 3 and used his REAL NAME to register, so once PSN lost all that info, it was just a matter of his address being sold to the US military.

I think you were just taking the oportunity to bash Bush.

Not so much, really. I do remember Cheney coming out of the woodwork during election time (first time since he'd gone in hiding after shooting his hunting buddy in the face) for McCain and repeating the "soft on terror" mantra in basically every interview. So I just think it's fitting/ironic/just dessert that it was under Obama's watch that he was caught, and I thought it worthy of mention to point it out...kind of a just reward. I also remember the articles when Obama increased troop levels about him making this "his war"...taking a risk against public opinion...and it apparently paid off. I guess I'm just giving him a little credit. He doesn't get much for anything around here.

And yes, many of the mechanisms were put in place by Bush. I don't think, however, that things would have taken as long as they have if this was more of a priority than it seemed to be. Tora Bora is a glaring example. Also things I remember are very small numbers of troops having to hold outposts in Taliban areas...prisons being swamped by Taliban fighters, etc.

At any rate, it is a good day, and I give props to all who were involved.

Oh, and one more thing. What makes me nervous about this are the reports that his body has been buried at sea already to "keep with Muslim traditions". DNA evidence is being run, and photographs were taken but apparently aren't being released yet...according to the CNN article on this. I sure hope it was really him (and his son, as was reported).

No, it's supposed to be a photo of his face. First one is old, second one is the release, third one is reconstruction of the face. Of course, still not too sure it's him. I'd much rather see a video of it on youtube- it's how I believed Saddam was dead. Sending anyways.
