A British woman has been beheaded in a shop in Spain's Canary Islands, officials say.

Spanish media said a homeless Bulgarian man had been arrested in the town of Los Cristianos.

Witnesses said a man entered a Chinese supermarket in a shopping centre and stabbed then beheaded the 62-year-old woman. He is said to have dropped the head outside before being tackled.

I cannot say what I want to say, but I will say this. My eyes are opening up a lot with my exposure to this part of the world and there is only a few reasons for a beheading and my first thought is the most prevalent right now, he is Muslim! The cops should have let the crowd tear him apart.

I'm not going to rant here, but I am going to say this! I hope everyone here is paying close attention to world events and watch your back. I mean get in the habit of watching closely and be ready to defend yourself with extreme prejudice.

heads do not exactly just come right off. i made the mistake of watching a few beheading videos, and i sort of wish i never did.
It is a crazy volatile state of affairs the world is in. fanaticism does no body any god on any side. Fanatic Christians shoot and blow up abortion clinics, fanatic Muslims try to blow up the world. Granted, not all Muslims are bad/evil, but it does seem that all bad / evil acts anymore are commuted by one. Stereotyping/profiling is bad, but is it bad when its a lot of times true?

You have to also keep in mind stereotyping and profiling are not the same thing even though they are similiar.

Profiling is not a bad thing and it is pretty accurate therefore should be widely used the way its intended. The purpose for it was and is valid. Just because people have associated it with stereotypes doesnt make it wrong.

I do agree that in almost all cases extremes are dangerous.

I don't believe it is solely a 'Muslim' idea to behead people. People do crazy things when they are angry or crazed. People use religion as a reason to do things they normally would not do. I just have to ask. If god/gods are so powerful why do they need you to kill someone for them? If they truly exist and they want someone dead. Well that person is screwed. I don't mind sending murderers and rapists to god a little early but some of the things religious people kill over is just plain childish.

I do believe there could be a higher power out there. But sadly he probably thinks we are a bunch of primitive fools.

well, beheading seems to be more of a middle east thing, they have been cutting the heads off their enemies since they ave had enemies. just so happens those folks now pray to allah and live in the middle east. you are correct though, beheading isnt strictly " muslim"

but those were used as a form of " humane execution" it was done swiftly. not with a knife. a head is removed in all instances, but huge differences.
