Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has been found dead in her North London home, Sky News is reporting. The Daily Miror reports that police have confirmed the passing.

In all honesty I don't think I ever heard a single song of hers but I HAVE been bombarded with rehab stories about her for years. Sorry for her and her family. Now comes the part where the media makes her into some once in a lifetime talent and a great loss for humanity.Comment

Fame leads to a different strata of focus when one passes, re: the discussion of Cobain. Not to detract from any WWII vet by any means, but the truth of Cobain was that he was simply gifted when it comes to musical talent. I often wonder what we missed out on following his suicide.
Winehouse? I lean toward Juneau. She had a gifted voice, but way too many chances blown.
The most bizarre coincidence though is the age of death of Winehouse, Cobain, Hendrix, Morrison, and Joplin--all 27, all tremendously talented.
