Upper Marlboro Maryland at the time. Pretty intensely felt; I had just walked into the bathroom and thought someone was REALLY impatient at the door. They sent us home after about an hour.
Some damage in DC. Lots of power failures, and a piece of the spire of the National Cathedral has fallen.
Felt it in Manhattan for a good 20 seconds. We are really stupid. Instead of leaving the building we stayed indoors and started watching the news

About a good 45 second shaking in Walnut Cove, NC.
My first thought was that the washer was out of balance during spin... then realized washer wasn't being used. Next thought was a really strong wind, but my personal weather station was only recording a 2.5 MPH wind. So then I thought it must be a low flying helicopter hovering over my house, the Feds have finally come to get me!
Earthquake was the last thing I thought of.
