Anyone looking to go on vacation?

During the recent Wall St. demonstrations several of the protestors held signs saying "99% of Americans serve the other 1%" or some such.

On the news last night I saw a series of signs on legal pads taped to windows a few stories up that said "We are the 1%!"

I've just still been sitting here wondering why a 1% guy is trying to turn a week at a vacation home into a new pc instead of just going to buy a state of the art setup with some of that rich-folk dough.

Heh, because like most economically fortunate people I don't have much cash and I don't use credit unless I have to. I have property and investments. Strange way to do things but its working for me. Looe Key Reef is about 7 miles off shore from there, some of the best diving in the U.S. The house goes for $250 a night and a one time $250 cleaning fee regardless of how long you stay. It sleeps 6 and since you have a private pool and are on the water you can't beat it especially if you are splitting it between a few people.

I can't afford to live there, no work in that area for me really but I've been down twice this year and going again in December. Wife loves it too fortunately!

LOL Cain, yeah, I love that sign. Since I work for a private equity firm at least I'm not involved in that mess anymore. 7 years at an investment banking firm was enough!

The diving at Looe Key is awesome. We keep two boats and scuba equipment down there and my wife bought me an awesome underwater camera. Love it!
