    RIP steve jobs

    Apple

I'm not an apple fan, but thanks to him we have made quite a few technological advances over the past few years. His vision will be missed.

Not a shock to hear, but sad nevertheless. Say what you will about the man, but he built an empire. Back in 2009 for a brief time, Apple's business worth amounted to more than Exxon who has always been #1.

He definitely was a visionary. I wasn't an Apple fan either, but the more I try to use their competitors devices, the more I find Apple ones occupying my home.

As others have said, and many more I don't doubt...

He was brilliant, simply put. I was not a fan of Apple's products, but they do the job and they do it for the masses rather well. I don't believe any one single person has had such an impact - Gates included.

I'm not going to mention the irony of Pancreatic Cancer's initials.

He was an innovator for the world. An inspiration to individuals. But most important, he was a loved one to his family.

Sad to see the man go, even if not an Apple fan. He's been the face of Apple for some time now, and has helped to drive their innovation. The world will miss him, and at such a young age

I'm not much of a apple fan myself (mostly because of price), but sad to hear he passed away, I was wondering why CNN was showing clips of him in the past on their website, if you wanna check it out go to cnn.com/video if it wasn't for this great man we would probably still be sitting in front of a old boring grey computer monitor/PC box

All I have is an Iphone, but it's been working well for 3 years. It's an old 2G.

Apart from all the PC - Apple debate, I liked the guy. Had a niche and lot of people liked his products. Pretty smart cookie too. It's kinda sad to miss out on what he might have thought up next. But it was his time.

I've had an iPhone 2G, 3G, and now 4, trying to get my wife to get a 4 instead of her flip phone, but never did like apple computer products. I didn't know much about Steve Jobs either until I fell in love with the phone. He sure was smart and he's gone at a relatively young age. I only hope that his kids grow up to be as smart as him.
