    scariest game moments

I know I'm the last person on earth to play half life 2 but lets move past that. I just got to a level where these skinned guys with head crabs gallop around at light speed on all 4s. I almost made brown the first time one ran up and bit me. What's the scariest moment in your video game history?

Playing Doom 3 at like 2am with the lights off is scary as hell :P

While playing a marathon session of Doom 2, something jumped out at me and I jumped back so fast I broke the joystick.

Half-Life - when crawling through a duct with a flashlight and a headcrab leaps out at you. Knocked my chair over jumping up.

In Half-Life 2 (Episode 2? Or maybe Ep. 1) there is an optional room that you can go in. It had some goodies, so I marched on in. The door closes, electricity cuts off, and you hear zombies moaning. That did it for me. If I couldn't of paused the game, I would've ran away from the computer at that point. I didn't even want to play after that.

But, that's just me being the can't-stand-horror-stuff guy. Kenshin and I played Alone in the Dark when we were about 12...around midnight or so. (actually, Kenshin played, I watched) That freaked me out bad. We returned the game the next day. (6 days early )

PS: its never too late to play half life series. Never , ever underestimate its awesomeness...

Max Payne when he is tripping out and you have to follow these blood trails with a little girl crying in the background. Plus if you fell off of the blood path she would scream. Freaked me out when I was 14 and playing it.

playing halo coop with a friend. a mutated flood human jumped in front of my face, i pissed myself, then i threw a sticky grenade accidentally from the shock and it landed on my friend, killing him instantly. then i was freaking out even more since an insane load of flood was chasing me non-stop when i was trying to run away to get my partner to spawn again.

I don't like that horror mystery stuff, so I'd probably have to say when I was a little kid watching my brother play one of the resident evil games. I hate the whole zombies eatting people, it just makes me sick, even though I sort of enjoyed seeing Extinction in theaters (it didn't have too much of that zombie eatting crap, had some though)

It's just gross walking around town seeing a bunch of retarded zombies munching on some bodies or munching on you if you die.

I'd actually have to stay Zelda Majoras mask on N64. I have a phobia from giant eels. I never finished that game because of the giant eel part. Also have a tuff time playing Oblivion and Morrowind at the water parts, since slaughter fish just jump right out and attack you, and they look like eels

That was awful. It might not have been so bad if it'd been during the morning or afternoon, but we started playing it around midnight!

I remember making all sorts of comments while playing, too. "I swear, if that thing decides to jump back out..." and "There better not be anything stupid waiting for me in there." Oh, and something along the lines of "OMGBBQ what the heck was that?!?!?"

I know what you mean. The first time I saw one, I was honestly hoping that ugly beast wasn't going to head my way. Sure enough, it made a b-line right for me. I was much too startled and spooked to pick a gun to shoot the thing with, much less aim. Needless to say, it tore me up a bit.

I had saved it just before exiting, so I loaded back up to that point and fired a grenade from the SMG next time that mutated monkey thing stuck it's head out. Man I hated those things... The shotgun made me feel safer, though.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
