    Another Red Arrows pilot dead.

A Red Arrows pilot has died after being ejected from an aircraft at the aerobatic team's base in Lincolnshire.

The RAF confirmed the pilot was ejected from a Hawk T1 jet while it was on the ground at RAF Scampton.

The Military Aviation Authority is carrying out an independent inquiry to determine the cause of the incident.

The RAF said its thoughts were with the pilot's family. It confirmed Red Arrows training had been suspended, but that RAF's Hawk T1 fleet would still fly.

The incident comes a few months after Red Arrows pilot Jon Egging died after his plane crashed following a display near Bournemouth Airport.
Hearing rumors that the ejector seat malfunctioned and then his parachute failed to deploy. Not a good year for the Red's, and i wouldn't be surprised if this grounds the fleet indefinitely.

Two malfunctions at once? I hope they get to the bottom of it.

I guess if the seat malfuctions in a big enough way it could cause multiple issues.

The Hawk fleet was grounded a little while ago while the planes underwent an investigation into the ejector seats. I think this was back in 2010, however no issues were found.

No actual cause of death has come out yet, it'll probably be a few weeks before any major equipment faults will be annouced.

Ejection seats are very dangerous. If you don't check all the safety items every time you approach one, an accident is very easy. It only takes one slip-up and it will ruin your whole day.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
