Gorgeous car, but I can't get past the fact that it's a beetle.

Had a friend in High School who rebuilt and Frankenstiened a bunch together. His masterpiece was a tube frame with a brown Baja Bug fiberglass body shell and a turbocharged Porsche engine with long Stinger Pipes. It was one of, if not the fastest car in Anchorage AK.

I'm a honda fanatic, but even with all the enthusiast meetings I've went to I never hated on VW when they showed up in the parking lot/track, unlike most VW fanatics who almost spit on your honda if you dare show up to their "euro meet" lol! They are pretty cars and have a distinct/unique vibe to them, not a fan of most models after +-2005 though.. (apart from the rabbit)

Actually the jetta is based off the passat line, if i remember right.
The 2011 passats are nice, slimlined more.
              I used to have a mk2 and a mk3 polo.

But im afraid im now a ford focus owner, and never looking back, infact on my 2nd focus.

Vw are well designed give them that, thou framework goes before body work.

VW's are nice I wouldnt mind getting an old VW Wagon and getting it done up like the mystery machine although I would prob try to find something that would fit in it to give it a bit of power, driven one before they need some more "oomph"

LOL, an old VW painted like the Mystery machine would be awesome. Hmmm. Next summer project maybe

the jetta is based of the golf. I've owned a couple of VWs. 76 scirroco, 84 GTI and a 97 Jetta.

I would drive one for a daily driver, but beyond that it's just a car to me. VW Jetta's are definitely on the higher side of "Cars I would Drive To and From Work Daily"

I liked my Jetta TDI because I only had to fill it up every three weeks. 44 mpg wasn't unusual at all in that thing and it was pretty sporty and loaded with features. My wife liked it so much she begged me to trade with her so I traded in her SUV and got the CC. When you add 0% financing on that thing its a sweet ride.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
