I remember the Pern series, it's what got me into reading actually. Sad indeed.

One of the first series I read was the pern. She had declined in later years as her sons name was on the books.

Pern was one of my first forays into Audiobooks, as I had not enjoyed sitting down to just read before them. Just being able to listen to them while working at my job (my position at the time uniquely worked that way) and I was going through books in a matter of weeks. It was thrilling and made every day interesting. I couldn't wait to work!

I don't know if I really finished the series she put out so I should check what the last Pern book was...

A shame. I did read the pern books in elementary school. After that I barely read any of her stuff.
