Congratulations LSU on continuing the tradition of making the perennially overrated Ohio State the SEC's whipping boy (to put it politely)!

They are beginning to talk seriously about adapting a four game playoff beginning in 2010, which, while not perfect, would keep teams that purposely schedule weak opponents in order to make it to a BCS bowl from staining our televisions post-New Year's.

LSU has been fielding some excellent teams lately, playoffs shouldn't hurt their future NC chances. Should make for some better matchups, though.

+1 for the playoffs, long time coming for a really broken system. Let it get decided on the field, not by the armchair quarterbacks and arbitrary algorithms. Worked wonders for college hoops, I can only imagine how much more hype and $ NCAA football would receive if all these bowl games ACTUALLY mattered. Right now, most of the games are "Who's Less of a Loser" Bowls.

Congrats to LSU as well, they were one of the teams that truly deserved to be in that game, OSU not so much.

Isn't there going to be an official +1 game coming in a few years after all the bowls?

Colleges and Universities do not want a play off system. They make millions of dollars from bowl games.

i don't really like playoff system. with playoff system, college team will start resting some key player if they can get into playoff.

but what i like about college is the pure energy and environment. the way they go all in or nothing kinda game.
