I would imagine those are the "seams" between displays. This isn't an LCD, its DLP which means its several Rear Projection TVs integrated into one unit. Which means while it wont be as horrendously expensive as a similarly-sized LCD, its going to have a huge footprint (comparitively).

Still mighty cool though, I wouldn't mind fitting THAT into my living room
