Same, I only check my linkedin once every few months. Have had some people straight up offer me jobs without even introducing themselves though.

I just try and keep my business and personal life separate - barring the occasional crossover like when Duke was looking for alarm system advice, I prefer not to have an 'open gateway' between my professional and personal life.

I am on-call 24/7 for emergency tech issues, so I have to have some separation with everything else.

This. We don't need to do a CLR group however I thought we could game (pun intended) the system for more connections. Which always looks good when recruiters look at your profile.

Linkedin is a professional/work based social media site.
