As most of you know, my oldest has cerebral palsy. Well the last few months have been crazy because we have been getting ready for his graduation. Graduation is May 23rd (be prepared for massive amounts of pics). Anyways, he's always talking about wanting to do something that he would be remembered for and tonight he did just that. About four years ago started to build a new high school. Well the school has been open for a year now. You would think with all of the money they put into it, they would make the school more handicap accessible but of course they didn't. One of the main problems is not having automatic doors.
Braiden left his mark on the school by going in front of the school board tonight with a letter that he wrote about why they needed automatic doors and not only for kids with disabilities. The board told him they had spent so much time trying to cut costs, they never thought of stuff like that but they were glad he brought it to their attention. The put it on the agenda to have bids put in to have at least two sets of automatic doors put in and hopefully have it done before the start of next year. Rather neat if you ask me

With school and life in general, I was never able to get into it. On a good note, I will be graduating soon as well. However, I plan on going back and getting my BA in Forensic Accounting. That one is a 15 month program since I have taken many of the classes it requires.
