It was her fault that they lost! I was so disappointed that they lost. Dallas is my team even though I dont watch much football. Romo has been pretty off the past 3-4 games, and it pissed me off since they were good most of the season. A lot of people were saying they had a good chance to beat the Pats, but if they played like they did during the regular season, which we saw Romo didnt.

      Actually ROMO played OK.

But he WAS running for his life or flat on his back most of the 2nd half.

      Creighton DROPPED a sure touchdown.
Then he had the bomb late in the game to win. He QUIT
half way through his route, then saw the ball coming and sped up again.
TOO LATE. It looked like just an overthrown ball, when in fact the
receiver could have gathered it in for a TD if he would have kept
      running.

Too many penalties, bad tackles, dumb stuff. So sad.

      ......
I DO see Packers and Patriots in SB.

Yes I think they are very close talent wise, and don't forget the GB receivers lead the league in Yards after the catch. Thats a pretty important stat. You also left out James Jones, Koren Robinson, and Ruvell Martin. They have all proven themselves. We also now have two very good Tight Ends with Bubba Franks back, along with Donald Lee. On top of all that Jennings avg's 14 yards per catch, and Donald Driver avg's just over 14 yards per catch. So Individually not the absolute best in the league, but as a group, with out a doubt the best. Thats an opinion.
A valid one. And I agree they have talent. They are a great core with a great QB who is having his best year. In this league, there is a difference between the best and one of the best.

I don't think any core can match up with NE right now or even with Indy. Moss, Stallworth, Welker, Gafney and Watson, or Wayne, Harrison, Gonzalez, Clark and Utech.

I'll give you the Pack has the best core in the NFC, but are probably 3rd in the NFL.

If you look in terms of production during the season, he is 19th in total yards, 24th in yards per game, 25th in rushing attempts, 50th in average yards per run. He comes in at 9th for TDs,
Grant rushed for 929 yards and eight touchdowns after taking over as the Packers' feature back in Week 8. Yes your stats are for just about half a season. LT was the only RB that had more yards than Ryan Grant in the second half. I'd love to compare Grants whole year to the other RB's but Like I said, he wasn't a starter until week 8.
He is a one year back. I want to see him do it for a few years.
He is good, but if you look at some of the top 40 or so starting RBs who have over 150 carries in a year, he ranks 5th in terms of average yards per carry at 5.1. Thats behind Adrian Peterson, Chester Taylor, Fred Taylor and Selvin Young.

I did some quick sampling for RBs last 10 games to match up with Grants play from week 8 to week 17 for those I could think had a good second half of the season (ie, not Ronnie Brown) and from the 5 RBs I looked at, he is 3rd. 3rd in terms of yards per run, 3rd in terms of total yards, 3rd in terms of receptions, 3rd in terms of TDs. And this is only from the sample I took. The only comparible NFL stat I can look at for all RBs is yards per carry and as stated, he is 5th there. So he might be lower than 3rd in other in a few categories.

Not saying he is a bad runner. I'd take the 3rd best or the 4th best RB over the 10th best anyday. But stat wise, he is not the best, not even second best.

        Grant (week 8 - 17)
        Run Attempts: 182
        Run Yards: 929
        Yds/run: 5.1
        Run TDs: 8
        Receptions: 25
        Rec Yds: 119
        Rec TDs: 0

        Tomlinson (week 8 - 17)
        Run Attempts: 193
        Run Yards: 947
        Yds/run: 4.9
        Run TDs: 9
        Receptions: 35
        Rec Yds: 265
        Rec TDs: 2

Peterson (week 6 to 17, injured weeks 11 and 12)
        Run Attempts: 162
        Run Yards: 958
        Yds/run: 5.9
        Run TDs: 11
        Receptions: 10
        Rec Yds: 102
        Rec TDs: 0

Fred Taylor (weeks 8 to 17)
        Run Attempts: 162
        Run Yards: 905
        Yds/run: 5.6
        Run TDs: 5
        Receptions: 6
        Rec Yds: 40
        Rec TDs: 0

        Westbrook (weeks 8 to 17)
        Run Attempts: 189
        Run Yards: 843
        Yds/run: 4.5
        Run TDs: 5
        Receptions: 59
        Rec Yds: 472
        Rec TDs: 4

I could even argue Westbrook's reception totals being so high making him a better overall RB.

Not sure if there are stats I missed, might be. If so, let me know.

Mind you I am a bit bias being a huge Packer fan.
        Really? It doesn't show

I also know as much as I talk them up you are right. They can loose, as can any team no matter how good they are. All I can do is keep my fingers crossed and prey.

        MD
They have a very strong team this year. And I like their team. I so feel you in the energy you get thinking they can...go...all...the....way. And they have a legit shot, probably more so than any other team other than the Pats.
[this is where my funky sig would go. But I don't have one.
So all you get is this crappy text]

I wish Dallas had made it, instead of Giants. I might have to break down and cheer for GB against NE..just so they loose one

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
