Xfire: Video Capture

Has anyone tried this yet? It looks to be like fraps... only FREE!

I just tried it, it works pretty good put I think it lowers frame rate more than fraps. I have both... I will try and see what lowers it more. I recorded for 26 seconds I think... 450mb... I think that's worse than fraps, but it looked great. This is great for anyone who doesn't want to buy fraps.

Mind you this is a beta, and as with most things with xfire, it will only get better.

I just tried it and it doesn't work. It will only record the sound, no video. Frame rates are far worse than fraps. It is still in beta stage, needs a lot more tweaking before it is ready.

the voice chat was in nearly the same state, it worked and no more.
This is an initial beta test, its not there to test its features, its there to test its feasibility, how it handles in the real world and initial response to the prospect of having it.

If XFire do what i do, I get something out there that works and no more, then the next version has a HUGE jump, the chat did, so expect it to get better.

I don't know about you guys, but apart from the lower frame rates, and compression rate, so far it looks just as good.....and its beta

and how do u do this? whats the command? nvm i just figured it out.

edit: i recorded for a few sec in cs and my wmp wont play it cause its an avi file. sux
