Iphone 5 - holding it wrong again ?

The Iphone 5, already taking lots of heat due to the maps issue, now has to contend with issues with its camera:

The Apple fanbois will continue to defend these problems, and the masses will buy them up like penny candy. Surely there are better alternatives to yet another Apple product that did nothing new compared to its predecessor ?

lolapple is all that needs to be said. Nobody, and i mean nobody should ever buy the latest refresh when upgrading. Pretty much nothing changes and if it does, it's usually for the worse.

I have the Iphone 3... it really WOULD be an upgrade for me to move to the 5 ...

The only reason I'm thinking about it, is mine is starting to black screen or my current app or web page suddenly goes away, and have to re-access it.

My uncle showed me his new iphone 5. It's tiny! How can people use that? It's really small. And thick. My S3 has a 30% bigger screen and 30% thinner overall. It's a sad, sad device. How technologically impaired do you have to be to think this is an advancement in smart phones?

I'm still using my BB at work, but the department has been hinting about going to the 5. I gave them all crap, so they asked what I recommended. I said the Galaxy S3, of course, and they looked up its specs and now want that instead of the 5 ! Hah ..

I think it was recently announced that Samsung is allowing an upgrade on it from its proprietary Droid to ICS, so someone confirm or deny that plz.

I have had no problems with my Nokia 900... of course the new one coming out will have a much better camera.
Plus the maps and drive apps that comes with it don't use data and work very well.

I think the S3 already has ICS on it. That's probably what I will get (can't get an upgrade until 11/18 ) I have a Motorola Atrix right now. It is a POS; I'm never getting another Motorola.

I am looking at the nokia 920 for my wife. It is supposed to have a good camera, and I think my wife would like the simplicity of the Windows 8 interface better. Didn't know about the map and drive app not using data. My wife would probably like that too. She has tons of problems with the nav app on her HTC.

Microsoft I think bought the rights to use nokias map apps on every windows phone. The pictures I have posted here are with my 900.

If you have multiple email accounts it works very very well.

Windows 8.. which the 920 will run on should be have all the andriod apps available as well. Theres something going on with it.

Wow I'm due on November 17th.
My Thunderbolt is useful but I hate how long it takes to turn on. I see the Iphone users talking just minutes after landing but I can't talk for about two minutes. I'm flirting with the idea of getting the 5 but I despise Itunes so I probably wont.

Talked to a co-worker who already has ICS on his Samsung, and he states that many of the Samsung phones come unlocked and you can select what bootloader you want, very easy to work with and unlocked from the factory. And yes, it did come with ICS, but with a Samsung frontend attached to it, but at this point Jelly Bean support has been announced just this week.

Also, a heads up for anyone interested in an S3 - Sprint has offered up a pre-Black Friday ad showing a Galaxy S3 for only $50. Sprint also offers an unlimited plan as well.
