    Sandy

So who here is in the middle of this big storm? I'm usually flying in the middle part of the country but this week I had an east coast trip, I got here in DCA last night and wont leave until Wednesday. Now the winds are gusting to 50 knots and are supposed to go up to 57 knots, at this point we have only had a minor power interruption but it sounds scary out there, the window is also flexing quite a bit.

    Hang on to your hats.

There are some flooding around my area already (Queens) Downtown Manhattan is getting hit hard. Still got power here...god knows till when. The wind gust gonna be upto 70-90mph around 8ish. I'm in my top (6)floor of my apt building. Higher than the trees..winds are pretty strong. Bashing at my windows with heavy rain..yikes!
Hit 'em like comic books, kaboom! pow pow!

Blew by here pretty good. About 600,000 with no power on L.I. Power didn't go out but I lost some siding. A tree fell through my cousins house.

We felt it here all the way up in Toronto last night....a lady was actually killed by a sign that was ripped off of a Staples building and hit her as she walked... crazy indeed

Nothing but rain and moderate winds here. I went out and bought a generator Monday morning, assuming I wouldn't use it and return just it on Wednesday, but the wife was that worried that I unboxed it and filled it with oil and gas so it was ready to go.

Not out of the woods yet, but so far its nothing like coastal areas who took the brunt of the storm surge.

                      Oh thats funny.

I am in Northern NJ 30 mins from NYC.(yes I am closer to the arm pit) Had no problems here at all. I shut down my computer after a quick brown out.

My brother closer to the center of NJ has no power. (rutgers area)

Tried to go to work today and well I got there easy. Nobody was there and I just got home.

Finished up a sauerbraten last night while I was bored.

I'm on Long Island. Power held up in my neighborhood, but I unplugged my cpu just in case of any lightning strikes or surges.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
