From One Football Fan To Another

Peyton Manning & Tom Brady, after living full lives, died and went to heaven.
God was showing them around.



They came to two modest little houses, one with a faded Colts flag in the window and one with a faded Patriots flag in the window.


'These houses are yours for eternity, Peyton and Tom,' said God. 'These are very special; not everyone gets a house up here.'


Peyton and Tom felt very special, indeed, and walked up to their homes.


On their way up the porch, they noticed another house just around the corner.


It was a 3-story mansion with a powder blue and gold sidewalk, a 50 foot tall flagpole with an enormous Chargers flag, and in every window, a lightning bolt.


Peyton and Tom looked at God and said, 'God, we're not trying to be ungrateful, but we have a question. We were all-pro quarterbacks, and we won many Super Bowls, and we even went to the Hall of Fame.'


God said, 'So what do you want to know?'


'Well, why does LaDainian Tomlinson get a better house than us?'

God chuckled and said, 'Peyton and Tom, that's not LT's house.'

'It's mine.'

I am a die hard New Yorks Giants fan from birth. I am also a huge football fan. Heck, I was even a closet San Diego fan in the 80's cheering for Dan Fouts, Kellen Winslow and Chuck Muncie.


I don't know about the rest of you but I would love to see Green Bay go all the way. I would love to see Brett Favre beat the crap out of Tom Brady and the Patriots and then retire at the top of his game after such a long and illustrious career.

Your not lying man. That would indeed be the ultimate for us Packer fans with the exception of him retiring. Favre has already had such a great career, and it's simply magical that he's so close to the Super Bowl again. If he somehow wins the Super Bowl his career will be movie worthy.

LT's fine. QB is day to day. And we WILL take the Patriots to the limit tomorrow. Don't underestimate the Chargers. They may have lost twice to the PATS but they have heart. PATS don't, they hide behind their championship vistories and talk to much crap. This will be different this game. Chargers may not win the SuperBowl but they will go down in history for defeating the UNdefeated PATS.

Bah, I 've given up rooting against the Pats, so I now secretly have become a lifetime Pats fan, telling everyone how their team will suffer at the hands of the unbeatens, but if the Pats lose, I will dance and wave and smile for all of the offseason, hoping Tom Brady fathers another few kids out of wedlock to hopefully make his life a bit more hectic.
